📚 Wormie Spotlight with Amy (aka @albrown) 📚
Read more about one of our wormie friends, Amy, a high school librarian who reads a ton of YAs (with a touch of mystery)!
Each month, we hope to chat with a wormie just like you. Bookworm is all about community, and it’s high time we get to know our neighbors. We want to learn more about your reading habits, favorite books, and the odd, beautiful things that make you you.
This month’s wormie, Amy, is a high school librarian who reads a ton of YAs (with a touch of mystery)! 👩🏫 Meet Amy.
Here's our conversation with Amy. Our questions are in bold, and Amy’s responses are directly below each question.
What’s the book you’re always recommending to friends?
Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Summary: Set in the future on Mars, this dystopian science fiction follows lowborn miner Darrow as he infiltrates the ranks of the elite Golds.
What’s the book that made you love reading?
Shana by Katherine E. Woodiwiss

Summary: A dashing condemned criminal consents to wed a beautiful heiress, thereby rescuing her from an impending and abhorred arranged union.
How do you decide what to read next?
I’m a high school librarian, so I try to read a lot of YA from a variety of genres.
How did you find out about Bookworm?
I was looking for an alternative to Goodreads and read someone’s recommendation on Reddit.
What dream bestie do you want for your worm?
My bestie would be someone who reads a lot of YA with some adult mystery and fantasy added to the mix!
What is your favorite thing about reading?
One of my favorite things about reading a lot, is being able to recommend the “right” book to someone who asks. It is a gift when I hear, “that was so good!”
